_.Cornucopia, dúo formado por Jorge Castro (loop sampler, efectos y cintas magnéticas) y Claudio Chea (sintesis digital y grabaciones de ambientes), fue concebido como proyecto en 1996 por Jorge Castro en Ponce, Puerto Rico. Sus primeros trabajos son experimentos basados en manipulaciones de retroalimentación y en la manipulación de otros artefactos electrónicos. Años de experimentación le llevan a encontrar el sonido actual del proyecto: el uso de la repetición, grabaciones de campo y los ruiidos electronicos. El año 2000 trajo un segundo miembro a Cornucopia, el artista multimedios Claudio Chea, quien además de aportar nuevas fuentes de audio, controla la instalación de imágenes que acompaña los sonidos en todas sus presentaciones en vivo. Cornucopia ha presentado sus conciertos en Europa, Estados Unidos, México y Puerto Rico. Hasta la fecha, el proyecto aparece en sobre 40 producciones discográficas y recopilaciones en CD, cassette y LP para diversos sellos discográficos de todo el mundo. B. _.The Human Isolated Bacteria was born in an abandoned mining town where the Amazon meets the Andes. His father was a horny catholic priest who got hepatitis B in the early 70's after experimenting with various types of animals. Due to a lack of appropriate medical facilities, the priest was forced to go to a nearby animal hospital where he had an affair with a veterinarian nurse. H.I.B. was the product of this unusual fertilization, but - being a symbol of sin - he was set aside in a crocodile cage where he was studied for many years. One day, however, HIB was able to use stolen medical instruments to escape from this prison lab. Free at last, but scarred by his isolation, he quickly developed an addiction to Kola Dumbo (a popular South American soft drink), and it was the unusual sound of him banging on empty cans that aroused his interest in music.
